Home Telecom Gives $200,000 to South Carolina Research Authority

 

Summerville, S.C. – Home Telecom, a Charleston-area leader and innovator in the telecommunications industry, has contributed $200,000 to South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA’s) Industry Partnership Fund (IPF). The IPF funds SCRA’s programs, including grants to eligible SCRA Member Companies, and to academic research projects that are producing industry solutions.

Recent grants include $25,000 to ConusCoat, LLC, a Clemson University-based tech startup, $25,000 to Sustain Edu, Inc., a College of Charleston-based tech startup, and $25,000 to Tested HQ, a Mauldin-based tech startup. These grants produce a direct positive economic effect and job creation.

South Carolina Research Authority and Home Telecom Home Telecom is among South Carolina businesses and individuals receiving a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for investing in the state’s innovation economy. A robust innovation economy means cutting-edge technologies and higher paying jobs for South Carolina.

In addition to their broadband-based services, Home Telecom offers work space for startup, small, and large companies in its technology center located in the Nexton community of Summerville.
