Home Telecom Gives the Gift of Faster Internet to Local Businesses
Moncks Corner, SC, December 15, 2015 – Home Telecom announced today that their businessInternet customers are receiving an early Christmas gift – increased Internet speeds at no additional charge. Many customers are getting an added bonus of a rate reduction with their new speed.
This latest increase demonstrates Home Telecom’s ongoing commitment to increase speeds for its customers, as it has 6 times in the past 7 years. “Every year we have seen changes to how businesses use the Internet. In the early days it was simply sending emails and hosting a basic website, now with document sharing, cloud backup and video conferencing a faster connection is required to take advantage of the applications of today,” noted William S. Helmly, President and COO of Home Telecom. “We feel that businesses should be able to maintain or improve their efficiency as new applications come along without having to increase their budget for data services.”
Customers that are subscribed to Home Telecom’s 25 Mbps received double the speed and wereautomatically upgraded to 50 Mbps this month. Customers that have 55 Mbps have been upgraded to 100 Mbps and those subscribed to 110 Mbps were upgraded to 500 Mbps or 1 Gbps in markets where the 1 Gbps connection is currently available.
These new speed increases for businesses follows Home Telecom’s recent announcement of the expansion of their 1 Gbps service to Daniel Island and surrounding areas. Residential customers subscribed to 500 Mbps received an automatic upgrade to 1 Gbps.
