A Closer Look at Nexton: What a Difference Walls & Windows Make!

In the years ahead, history will remember our current situation as one halted by uncertainty, so we thought it would be a good time to show how forward-thinking and positive Home Telecom is (and was!) in the face of unprecedented ambiguity!

Now that Home Telecom has walls and windows up on our new 20,000 square-foot technology and retail center on Nexton Parkway in Summerville, we can finally envision customers coming through our doors for exciting new products and services and leaving with a sense of gratification. Whether the customer has chosen services for their home or office, we know they will be satisfied with our cutting-edge security and automation, lightning fast internet speeds, and wide-ranging wireless WiFi.

We received these new photos of the construction work before COVID-19 hit, and they are our first look at the property coming to life. It isn’t a broad view of the entire center, but the blue façade is very inviting when driving up Brighton Park Boulevard!

And Home Telecom isn’t stopping in Summerville!

We just announced our GigUP Tri-County expansion project to connect more businesses to the more than 98,000 miles of gigabit-ready fiber optic infrastructure we already have in place throughout Berkeley, Dorchester and Charleston counties. Our robust gig-ready fiber network will reach many potential new businesses, where demand for high performance internet connectivity is on the rise – just like in Nexton! Home Telecom has a bright and positive outlook on the future and that’s why we have been around for more than 115 years! Family-owned and locally operated, Home Telecom seeks to bring our extraordinary gigabit technology to communities throughout the Lowcountry.

Home Telecom broke ground last July on this new 5,200 square-foot customer service center surrounded by 5,000 square-feet of retail and office space in Nexton. We are still hopeful to open in early summer. Located on Nexton Parkway, and connected to residents and business owners via hiking, biking and walking trails throughout the Summerville and Nexton area, there is also easy on and off access onto I-26.

Look at that second floor with the V-shaped floor-to-ceiling windows – that is where Home Telecom’s Concept Entrepreneurial Collaborative will be, overlooking the corner of Brighton Park Blvd. and Nexton Parkway.

Wide-open, collaborative workspace is the next generation in office space and Home Telecom has designed Concept specifically to provide an affordable workplace that inspires creativity, innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.

Stay tuned because the future is still coming at gigabit speed to Home Telecom’s new Technology and Retail Center in Nexton!
